Axel Banike began his career at a major German energy company, where he set up the legal department of a regional subsidiary in the former East Germany and then managed it as senior legal counsel. After a period at a mid-sized law firm in Jena, Axel Banike practiced law in his own firm from 1994 to 2011. He joined our firm in 2012.

With more than ten years of experience in the energy industry, Axel Banike focuses on advising our clients on legal issues concerning energy and the energy industry as well as construction and architecture law.

Mathis Hoffmann is a founding partner of our firm. After completing his education in Heidelberg, Kiel and Lyon, he was employed as general counsel at a biotechnology company and a TecDax-listed IT company from 1999 to 2003. From 2003 to 2011, he was partner at a mid-sized law firm in Thuringia and primarily responsible for the intellectual property and IT/new media practice areas.

Mathis Hoffmann has extensive IT and IP industry expertise and manages our IT/New Media/IP practice group.

Jan Schröder is a founding partner of our firm. Following his studies in Würzburg, Jan was a partner in a mid-sized law firm in Jena from 1995 to 2011, where he was mainly responsible for the labour law practice.

Along with Steffen Tietze, he manages our Labour and Employment practice group. Jan represents and advises our clients on all labour and employment law matters, and also handles commercial and company law issues.
