Asklepios, the second largest hospital operator in Germany, has acquired a 40% stake in MEIERHOFER AG (Munich). The goal of the acquisition was to develop a far-reaching, strategic cooperation between Asklepios and MEIERHOFER. It includes the introduction of MEIERHOFER’s hospital information system MCC in the Group’s seven hospitals in Hamburg and also provides for the implementation of regional IT projects in a close development partnership.
The MEIERHOFER Group is a provider of IT solutions for healthcare facilities throughout Europe. In combination with practical implementation strategies, the scalable information system MCC supports the management of medical, nursing and administrative procedures at university hospitals and medical care centres. MCC is one of the leading hospital information systems in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
