GRUENDELPARTNER advises on the sale of TEXPLAST and PET Recycling Team Wolfen to ALPLA Group

The FROMM Group, based in Steinhausen (Switzerland), has sold TEXPLAST GmbH and its stake in PET Recycling Team GmbH to the ALPLA Group, based in Hard (Austria). The ALPLA Group thus becomes one of the largest PET recycling companies in Germany. Following antitrust clearance of the sale, the transaction was completed on April 30, 2022. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

The ALPLA Group is a global leader in the development and production of innovative packaging systems, bottles, closures and injection-molded parts for a wide range of industries and, according to its own figures, employs around 22,100 people in its 177 production plants worldwide and achieved total sales of around EUR 4 billion in 2021.

The FROMM Group develops and produces a wide premium range of equipment, machines and consumables for strapping and wrapping a wide variety of products. According to its own figures, the company employs around 1260 people at its more than 40 locations worldwide and achieved sales of around EUR 320 million in 2021.
