HAP Holding GmbH and its wholly owned subsidiary HAP Handhabungs-, Automatisierungs- und Präzisionstechnik GmbH (HAP, Dresden) are acquiring Roth & Rau – Ortner GmbH (RRO, Dresden) and its US-based subsidiary Roth & Rau – Ortner USA, Inc. (Sandy, Utah). Under the umbrella of HAP Holding GmbH, the companies will do business jointly in the future on the market for forward-looking projects focused on Industry 4.0.
HAP is a supplier specialising in robotics and automation solutions for wafer handling, carriers (wafer cassette handling), lithography masks and similar substrates for the semiconductor and electronics industry.
RRO’s business activities concentrate on the design, installation and service of logistics and storage systems and manufacturing lines in ultra clean production environments such as those in the semiconductor and photovoltaic industry. In addition, RRO markets a complete RFID system for monitoring material flows in manufacturing facilities.
