The Masterplast group has acquired through their newest production company, Masterplast Nonwoven GmbH, the plant of LHB & Co. Beschichtungs KG in Aschersleben (Saxony-Anhalt).
Masterplast was founded in 1997 and is one of the leading Hungarian manufacturers of construction materials in Central and Eastern Europe. They have a premium listing on the Budapest stock exchange, and deliver to more than 30 countries. Masterplast holds 50% of the ownership shares in the newly founded Masterplast Nonwoven GmbH and has the exclusive management rights; the remaining 50% were acquired by Hartmut Layer.
The acquisition of the production facility in Germany – the ninth foreign location – opens a new dimension for Masterplast. In Aschersleben, special materials for the healthcare sector and the construction materials industry are manufactured, such as special spunbonds and multi-layer membranes for the production of protective clothing.
