The organic food start-up Lunch Vegaz received a total of 2.5 million from Blue Horizon Ventures and GENIUS Venture Capital. Currently, Lunch Vegaz is the only company on the market that offers freshly-prepared dishes with only organic ingredients and without any additives, making it a healthy alternative to conventional ready meals. There are already approx. 50,000 dishes provided each month by the organic manufacturer in the small village of Rothenklempenow in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, where Lunch Vegaz has their production facilities and works directly with the local organic farmers in the area.
Blue Horizon Ventures is a venture capital fund focused on food technology. The aim of the fund is supporting the trend to a more sustainable food system by means of innovation, technology and entrepreneurship.
As regional venture capitalist, GENIUS finances innovation-driven technology companies from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the early phase of their company development. GENIUS was founded in 1998 on the initiative of the federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania as 100% subsidiary of TGZ e. V. Schwerin/Wismar and manages two venture capital funds on behalf of the ministry of economic affairs of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
GRUENDELPARTNER had already provided legal support to Lunch Vegaz since their foundation, as well as in the context of the financing round now, e.g. during the preparation and negotiation of the contracts.
