Experienced Of Counsel joins GRUENDELPARTNER’s VC/M&A department

On 1 October 2020, Udo Werner (53) joined GRUENDELPARTNER’s Venture Capital, Private Equity, M&A practice group.

Udo Werner studied law in Jena and Frankfurt/Main and was admitted to the bar in 2005. A McCloy scholar and graduate from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, he started his professional career with McKinsey & Company. As member of the managing board and the supervisory board of several mid-sized stock companies – among others as chairman of the managing board of CyBio AG – he was responsible for the fields of business strategy, mergers & acquisitions, human resources, law and finances in particular. In a managing role, he very significantly shaped the reorientation of the state-owned holding company of the German state of Thuringia (bm|t). As member of the managing board of TU Dresden AG, he is currently responsible for central functions as well as the business of thirteen subsidiaries.
