The international automotive supplier MITEC Automotive AG (MITEC) has successfully completed the refinancing of existing financial liabilities amounting to EUR 58 million. Furthermore, new financing commitments amounting to EUR 28 million have been successfully obtained for processing the current order backlog and realising the future growth of the MITEC group. Norddeutsche Landesbank and die Deutsche Kreditbank AG under the leadership of Commerzbank AG participated in the transaction through a syndicated loan, and a fund managed by bm|t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen gmbh (bm|t) in the form of a silent partnership.
MITEC with their headquarters in Eisenach is one of the world’s leading companies in the field of automotive propulsion technology, and has nearly 1,000 staff members and production sites in Germany, China, and the USA.
bm|t, headquartered in Erfurt, is a subsidiary of Thüringer Aufbaubank and the first contact point if participations in Thuringia are concerned. bm|t currently manages nine funds with a total volume of about EUR 340 million, which participate in innovative companies of almost all industries and at all stages of the development of the companies – both in their founding as well as in the growth phase or even in company succession situations.
