GRUENDELPARTNER expands partner group in banking, capital market and data protection law

Stephan Schuldt (36), previously partner in the Leipzig office of Kahlert Padberg, will join GRUENDELPARTNER as equity partner on 01.04.2019.

Stephan Schuldt, who specializes in banking and capital market law as well as commercial and corporate law, will expand GRUENDELPARTNER’s transaction practice to include debt financing. In addition, Stephan Schuldt will expand the area of data protection law and – through a separate service company – data protection-related services together with the current IT partner Florian Helbig.

“The expertise and market position of GRUENDELPARTNER at the interfaces to corporate finance and IT/data protection law is ideal for me and I am very much looking forward to the synergies that arise from my admission,” says Stephan Schuldt and adds: “The decisive factor for me was not only the strategic orientation and market position of GRUENDELPARTNER – the climate of partnership, the open communication, the speed of decision-making, i.e.: the harmonious chemistry was at least as good.”

“With Stephan Schuldt, we are very pleased to have gained a young, ambitious partner who will work at the interface of our strongly expanding working areas Corporate and IT,” adds Dr. Mirko Gründel. “We are thus consistently pursuing our strategy of focusing on the three major segments Corporate Finance/M&A, Real Estate and Information Technology and all related legal issues.”
