Seed funding for TEDIRO

TGFS Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen (TGFS), advised by GRUENDELPARTNER, and bm-t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen (bm|t) are investing a seven-figure sum in the Saxony-Thuringia-based medical robotics start-up TEDIRO Healthcare Robotics GmbH as part of an extended seed funding round. Other investors include business angels and the medium-sized robotics manufacturer MetraLabs GmbH Neue Technologien und Systeme, from which TEDIRO was spun off. The aim is to bring the THERY mobile therapy robot platform to market as a medical device, thereby supporting healthcare facilities at a time of skills shortages.

Since its launch in 2008, the TGFS has funded over 100 start-ups in Saxony. The TGFS focuses on young, innovative, technology-oriented companies operating in the ICT, semiconductor and microsystems technology, medical technology, life sciences, environmental and energy technology, and new media sectors, which have their registered office or place of business in Saxony.
