WMS supports a successful business succession/MBO at Käppler & Pausch

The WMS Growth Fund for SMEs in Saxony (WMS) is acquiring a significant minority stake in Käppler & Pausch GmbH as part of a management buy-out. Together with the managing partners, WMS aims to actively drive the company’s further development and position it for the future in a challenging market environment.

Käppler & Pausch GmbH was founded in 1993. Originally started as a two-man operation specialising in waterjet cutting, the company has developed into a leading systems supplier for metal assemblies. With around 160 employees and a production area of 17,000 m², Käppler & Pausch carries out all manufacturing stages in-house, from the development and engineering of complex assemblies through to laser cutting and welding, right through to final assembly and surface coating.

GRUENDELPARTNER provided legal advice to WMS in connection with the business succession. GRUENDELPARTNER’s M&A, Venture Capital and Private Equity practice group is one of the most experienced and largest advisory units in Central Germany and supports investors and entrepreneurs through all stages of development, particularly in company formation, business development, corporate finance and all exit processes.
