PREMIUM acquires a majority stake in color parts

As part of its ongoing growth strategy, color parts GmbH has sold a majority stake to funds managed by PREMIUM Equity Partners. GRUENDELPARTNER provided legal advice to the previous lead investor, WMS Wachstumsfonds Mittelstand Sachsen (WMS), on the structuring and execution of the transaction. The existing shareholders (including WMS) remain invested via a substantial retained interest.

Founded in 2003, color parts GmbH operates modern production facilities in Cunewalde and Kodersdorf (Saxony) and is a leading provider of high-end coating and surface finishing services. The company specialises in high-quality wet painting for small to medium batch sizes and serves customers in the premium and luxury segments, including in the fields of sanitaryware design, writing instruments, medical technology and the automotive sector. Together with the management and WMS, PREMIUM Equity Partners will support the further growth of color parts. Plans include, in particular, the expansion of the sales organisation and capacity increases, with a focus on acquiring new customers and market differentiation.
