GRUENDELPARTNER advises TGFS on LipoCheck’s seed funding round

The Technology Start-up Fund Saxony (TGFS) is investing in LipoCheck GmbH as part of a seed funding round, alongside GIMIC Ventures, Gateway Ventures, the Prange Group and other renowned family offices and business angels.

LipoCheck is dedicated to providing digital guidance and support to women with lipoedema throughout their journey. Lipoedema is an often undiagnosed but painful fat distribution disorder. Through the LipoCheck and LipoAlly apps, those affected can document their symptoms, gain access to medical information and benefit from specialised telemedicine services. The company also works closely with health insurance providers and medical professionals to ensure better care, from the initial suspicion right through to therapy support.

TGFS is an equity partner in Saxony for the seed and start-up phases. The fund was first launched in 2008 by the Free State of Saxony and Saxon financial institutions and has since supported over 100 start-ups. In 2023, TGFS launched its third fund generation.
