GRUENDELPARTNER advises TGFS on a follow-on funding round for Kopernikus Automotive GmbH
The Leipzig-based start-up Kopernikus Automotive GmbH is receiving a follow-on investment of EUR 3 million from its existing investors: Continental Automotive Technologies GmbH, the Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen (TGFS) and Golzern Holding GmbH.
As a specialist in autonomous driving technologies based on artificial intelligence, Kopernikus develops, amongst other things, solutions for infrastructure-based automated parking in multi-storey car parks, also known as Automated Valet Parking (AVP), as well as the autonomous manoeuvring of, for example, newly manufactured vehicles at car manufacturers’ sites or in logistics areas.
TGFS is one of the most active venture capital funds in Germany, focusing on Saxony. Since its foundation in 2008, it has supported over 100 start-ups in the Free State of Saxony.
