GRUENDELPARTNER advises bm|t on DeepEn’s seed funding round
Beteiligungsmanagement Thüringen (bm|t), together with MBG Thüringen and Sparkasse Jena-Saale-Holzland, is investing a seven-figure sum as part of a seed funding round for DeepEn GmbH.
DeepEn is a pioneer in holographic endoscopy and uses algorithms and holographic techniques to precisely control laser light as it travels through a single optical fibre. Once the optical fibre is inserted into an organ, it can focus the light beam into a sharp spot, enabling laser scanning microscopy in previously inaccessible, deep tissue regions. This innovative technology was honoured with the European Microscopy Society’s Life Sciences Award 2024.
bm|t, based in Erfurt, is a subsidiary of Thüringer Aufbaubank and currently manages twelve investment funds with a total volume of EUR 445 million; it invests in innovative and high-growth companies across all sectors and at all stages of development.
GRUENDELPARTNER provided legal advice to the lead investor, bm|t, during the financing round.
GRUENDELPARTNER’s M&A, Venture Capital and Private Equity practice group is one of the most experienced and largest advisory teams in Central Germany and supports investors and entrepreneurs at all stages of development, particularly in company formation, business development, corporate financing and all exit processes.
