GRUENDELPARTNER advises bm|t on seed financing of DeepEn
Together with MBG Thüringen and Sparkasse Jena-Saale-Holzland, Beteiligungsmanagement Thüringen (bm|t) is investing a seven-figure sum as part of a seed financing programme for DeepEn GmbH.
DeepEn is a pioneer in holographic endoscopy and uses algorithms and holographic techniques to precisely control laser light during transmission through a single optical fibre. Once the optical fibre is inserted into an organ, it can focus the light beam into a clean spot, enabling laser scanning microscopy in previously inaccessible deep tissue regions. The innovative technology was honoured with the European Microscopy Society's Life Sciences Award 2024.
As a subsidiary of Thüringer Aufbaubank, Erfurt-based bm|t currently manages twelve investment funds with a total volume of EUR 445 million and invests in innovative and fast-growing companies from all sectors and at all stages of their development.
GRUENDELPARTNER advised the lead investor bm|t on the legal aspects of the financing round.
