GRUENDELPARTNER advises on the sale of Data Virtuality GmbH to CData Software, Inc.

CData Software, Inc., a leading provider of data connectivity solutions based in Chapel Hill (NC, USA), has acquired Data Virtuality GmbH, a global provider of data integration and data management solutions.

Data Virtuality, based in Leipzig and San Francisco (CA, USA), offers live connectivity for direct system-to-system data access, as well as data virtualisation solutions for a unified and controlled data layer. With this acquisition, CData Software is expanding its product portfolio, which enables point-to-point connectivity between systems and multipoint connections between cloud applications.

In addition to the founders, the investors HighTech Gründerfonds and Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen have also sold their entire stake in Data Virtuality.

An international team from GRUENDELPARTNER and Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo (Boston, USA), led by Dr Steffen Fritzsche, provided the sellers with comprehensive legal advice on the drafting and negotiation of the contract. GRUENDELPARTNER has provided legal support to the company in all its financing rounds since its foundation.
