GRUENDELPARTNER advises akirolabs on a USD 5 million seed funding round

akirolabs, a Berlin-based ProcureTech start-up, has completed a seed funding round totalling US$5 million.

Investors in the seed round included High-Tech Gründerfonds, OTB Ventures, D11Z. Ventures and Serpentine Ventures from Switzerland, as well as business angels such as Fredrick Spalcke (former CPO of Philips and Huawei), Heiko Schwarz (CEO of riskmethods), Markus Ehrle (VP and General Manager EMEA at ServiceNow) and Detlef Schultz (former CEO of Vodafone Procurement Company).

akirolabs was founded in 2021 and is developing an AI-powered SaaS platform for collaborative strategic procurement. akirolabs is based on a world-class, tried-and-tested strategic procurement process, methodology and toolkit, embedded within an intuitive, cross-functional collaboration workflow and enriched with all relevant internal and external information.
