GRUENDELPARTNER advises Diamics on a successful funding round with SBG and TUDAG
The shareholders of Diamics GmbH have secured new investors as part of a funding round. SBG – Sächsische Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH and TU Dresden Aktiengesellschaft (TUDAG) are investing in the Dresden-based medtech company alongside other private investors.
Diamics is developing a miniaturised diagnostic system designed to enable molecular analyses to be carried out locally and directly on site. The spin-off from Dresden University of Technology and the Carl Gustav Carus University Hospital in Dresden aims to combine the accuracy of established laboratory procedures with the simplicity and speed of a point-of-care test.
The funds raised as part of this financing round are to be used in particular for the further expansion of the company, the further development of the technology, and the transfer and development of intellectual property rights. Among the technology’s initial areas of application are the diagnosis of lactose intolerance and the rapid detection of sexually transmitted infections.
GRUENDELPARTNER provided comprehensive legal advice to the shareholders of Diamics GmbH in connection with the funding round.
